We offer a unique approach to project management based mainly on the individuals who manage the project and complete the work. This means planning very strategically on how you want a project managed with a one-team concept, open and constant communication and focused site management. Managing strategically, the subcontractors, trade partners, clients and owners. Building relationships, being attentive to your client and knowing and performing to the client’s expectations. We will consult and advise on other critical tasks of construction management, safety protocol and accountability, high quality standards, budget control, site logistics, material management and procurement.
It goes without saying, high quality is a must. This means having a detailed quality plan before the project begins and implementing quality checks throughout the project with every trade on the job. Don’t just rely on inspectors to oversee the work. Know the project thoroughly, the plans and specifications, the site conditions, the local codes, the contractual milestones and any special conditions for the project. Use the latest and greatest tools i.e. BIM Modeling and viewing, SmartPM, Procore, Bluebeam, Drones, 360 cameras, and any other of the many great tools available to help with quality oversight.
Managing a Team takes work, it’s not automatic that every team will perform the same. You need to know the team and how to get the best out of each member. Having huddles often, we suggest daily to review the key components of the project. Ensure that each member is clear on the assignments and responsibilities. Create planning and sequencing reports often and share with all the team. Continually check on each member to make sure they are keeping up with the tasks and understanding them throughout the project.
Site management means knowing the site conditions intimately. Where is the project located, what are the soil conditions like, are there are underground issues such as ground water or rock that could be costly to mitigate during the project. Is the project remote, what is the fastest way to get materials there. What is the weather like in this area? Are there any neighboring challenges with work hours or noise control. Every project will have unique weather challenges, some might be rainy, cold, snow, heat, winds, Etc. Be prepared for the different environments and make sure the trade partners are also prepared.
